Arrow direction, finished dimensions, colors and supply format all need to match the intended marking. Start with the product specification
The Xingyuan custom reflective arrow sticker range described here uses PET reflective film with a UV-printed arrow or chevron design. The listed thickness is 0.42 mm, and the listed roll format is 30 cm × 85 m. Colors and sizes can be customized.
The roll dimensions are not the dimensions of an individual sticker. If you need finished pieces, specify the width and length of each piece separately. For thickness comparisons, confirm whether the measurement includes the release liner before comparing quotations.
1. Specify arrow direction and pattern repeat
Send a drawing showing how the graphic should look when installed. Identify left-pointing, right-pointing or other required orientations, and label each version. If you need matching left and right pieces, state the quantity of each rather than asking only for a total quantity.
For a repeated chevron pattern, mark the arrow width, spacing and repeat length. Show where each finished piece should begin and end within the pattern. A reference photograph helps explain the appearance, but a dimensioned drawing is more useful for confirming production details.
2. Separate roll size from finished sticker size
For continuous material, provide roll width, roll length, number of rolls and the required pattern repeat. For individual stickers, provide finished width, length, shape and piece quantity. Ask the supplier to confirm the available finishing and delivery format for your design.
For example, an inquiry for 30 cm-wide roll material should also state the required length and number of rolls. An inquiry for cut pieces should give the dimensions in millimetres or centimetres and the number of pieces for each arrow direction. Keep the units consistent throughout the drawing and order.
3. Confirm colors and the areas that must reflect
The sample shown combines a yellow reflective face with black UV-printed chevrons. Custom color combinations can be discussed using your artwork or a physical color reference. State which parts of the design need a reflective appearance; do not assume that every printed color will reflect in the same way.
Review the actual sample in ordinary light and under illumination. Photographs help communicate the design, but they are not numerical reflectivity measurements. If your project needs a specified performance level, include that requirement in the inquiry and request documentation for the exact finished product. 4. Describe the application surface
Tell us whether the graphics are intended for a parking guidance panel, warehouse direction sign, barrier marking or equipment warning graphic. Include the surface material, whether it is flat or curved, and whether it will be used indoors or outdoors. These details help define the sample evaluation.
Check a sample on the intended surface before approving the order. A photo of a chevron sticker does not establish suitability for every surface or approval for regulated traffic or vehicle markings. Confirm project-specific requirements before selecting the final construction.
5. Approve artwork and a physical sample
Before production, agree the artwork version, dimensions, arrow orientation, color reference, pattern repeat and quantity of each design. Review the sample against that written specification, including the cut edges and the appearance of the printed and reflective areas.
Keep an approved sample and the final drawing as references. If the design or dimensions change, update the approval record before the order proceeds. Confirm packaging, labels, delivery terms and lead time with the quotation rather than assuming they are the same for every custom order.
