Photoluminescent film absorbs light and releases stored energy as a visible glow when the surrounding light decreases. It is used in applications such as wayfinding graphics, equipment identification and decorative signage. Suitability depends on the material and the conditions where it will be installed.
Before selecting a film, consider the available charging light, expected darkness, viewing conditions and installation surface. Ask for product-specific information about charging conditions and glow behavior. Brightness changes over time, so comparisons are most useful when test conditions are clearly stated.
For printed or cut graphics, confirm compatibility with the intended production process. Share your application, dimensions, quantity and destination with the supplier, and evaluate a sample under representative conditions before specifying the material.
What is the difference between film and tape?

Does a 6-hour rating mean constant brightness?
No. Afterglow fades over time. A duration claim needs its charging conditions and measurement criterion to be meaningful. For example, our PET color glow-in-the-dark tape and film page lists a rated six-hour afterglow and a 1.24 m x 50 m full-width film format. Ask for the test information for the exact version you intend to buy; photographs illustrate appearance.
Should I choose PET or PVC?
Compare the complete product rather than the base-polymer name alone. Thickness, adhesive, luminous layer and intended processing can differ by model. Test the proposed film on your actual substrate and with your intended printing process before approving a production order.
