Black Daytime Appearance
The film has a black appearance under ordinary lighting, as shown in the product image. Confirm surface finish and dimensions with your inquiry.

Appearance Under Direct Light
Directional lighting reveals the reflective response. Actual brightness varies with light source and viewing angle; test a sample for your application.
Black Appearance with a Reflective Response
The paired product photographs show an important feature of this film: it appears black under ordinary lighting and takes on a lighter, reflective appearance when illuminated from a suitable direction. This makes it an option for decal designs that call for a dark daytime finish. The actual reflected appearance depends on the light source, viewing angle and installation surface.
This is reflective PVC film, not glow-in-the-dark material. It needs external light to produce a reflective response. Approve a sample under the lighting conditions relevant to your project before selecting the material for a finished design.
From Roll Material to Finished Decals
The rolls shown are intended for conversion into markings for vehicles, motorcycles and compatible equipment surfaces. Send your required shape or layout to discuss a finished decal format. The number and dimensions of pieces should be specified in the quotation rather than inferred from the different roll widths in the photographs.
- Strips: provide the width, length and corner shape for each piece.
- Logos and lettering: supply vector artwork and the finished overall dimensions.
- Custom shapes: include a cutting outline, minimum feature size and quantity.
- Sets: identify the number of pieces per set and whether left/right or mirrored components are required.
Surface Compatibility and Trial Fitting
Describe the surface the decal will be applied to, including the substrate and any paint, coating or texture. A smooth finished panel and a textured plastic part can behave differently. Check the actual film and adhesive specification and test a small sample on the intended surface before ordering a large quantity.
Prepare the layout before application, keeping edges clear of joints, moving parts and areas that are frequently rubbed. Clean and dry a compatible surface, align the decal, and apply progressively with even pressure. Avoid stretching the film to fit compound curves; confirm the suitable shape and installation method for curved parts during sample evaluation.
Design and Evaluation Checklist
- Check the black daytime finish against the vehicle or equipment color.
- Review the reflective appearance with the intended light source.
- Trial the smallest letters, narrow strips and detailed cut shapes.
- Inspect adhesion and edges on the actual mounting surface.
- Confirm packing and protection for individual decals or complete sets.
Common Questions
Will it stay black when a light shines on it?
The illuminated photograph shows a lighter reflective response. If matching a specific finish is critical, compare a sample in both ordinary and directional lighting.
Can it replace required vehicle reflectors or regulated markings?
Do not select material for a regulated use by color or photographs alone. Provide the applicable specification and confirm the required performance documentation.
Can I order a custom decal set?
Send the design, dimensions, quantity and intended surface. Available conversion and packing options can then be confirmed.
